RAAM Challenge Minnesota
August 6, 2016 - August 7, 2016
Located at the confluence of the Mississippi and Minnesota Rivers, the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul have long been considered among the most beautiful in the nation. The citizens of the Twin Cities give more of their time to charitable causes than any other metro area in the US. Minnesota boasts over 10,000 lakes – Minneapolis has 22 lakes within the city limits and a park system second to none. St. Paul is home to Prairie Home Companion, National Public Radio’s most popular show. Ride beautiful prairie and rolling hills, along rivers and lake shore. Summer in Minnesota is the best time of year and this is Midwest cycling at its best.
The RAAM Minnesota Cycling Challenge offers two distances – 200 and 400-miles. Both routes start/finish at Lake Rebecca Park located 15 miles W of the Twin Cities. Both the 200 and 400-mile racers leave Lake Rebecca Park and head north following the Crow River. Both races are large loops around the Twin Cities.
